Debate Poll Data
by Bright Knight
The Presidential and Vice Presidential debates are over and IMO it went
well for the Romney/Ryan-ticket. Romney crushed the Failure-in-Chief in
the first debate (which was the most important, because the main issue
and the basis for everything to come is the economy) and didn't lose
ground in the other two. And Joe "the brain" Biden's weird appearance
in the Vice Presidential debate as the Clown of a third-class Circus
doesn't deserve any further comment. The people learned about the real
Romney, a calm, presidential candidate, who cares about America and
will be a strong leader and will be able to get the economy back on
track, as stated, the most important issue. The voters saw that Romney
is not the kind of bad guy, the Empty-Chair-campaign (and Obama's
lapdogs from the PrawdaMedias) is portraying him to be since months.
Romney has his mission accomplished!
Following are some post debate poll data for the last debate.
Neil Munro writes at the Daily Caller:
Gov. Mitt Romney fought President Barack Obama to a draw in Monday
night’s foreign policy debate, successfully denying the president a
decisive win, according to a quick poll by CNN.
As said, that was all he needed. To be honest, I wanted Romney to be
more aggressive and hammer the Failure-in-Chief on the Benghazi attack
as well as the situation in the entire Middle East and our relationship
with/to Israel.
The news network’s poll of debate-watching voters split evenly on
character assessments, even though 48 percent of respondents said Obama
won the standoff.
Although only 40 percent of of viewers said Romney won the debate, 60
percent said he was ready to handle the responsibility of being the
nation’s commander-in-chief.
That’s almost the same as Obama’s score of 63 percent, despite Obama’s
nearly four years of experience in the job.
Obama fared better in a CBS News poll of 500 supposedly uncommitted
voters.
Fifty-three percent of CBS’s respondents “gave the foreign
policy-themed debate to Mr. Obama; 23 percent said Romney won,”
according to CBS.
But that top-line number somewhat obscured the assessment of both
candidates by the CBS respondents.
“Before the debate, 46 percent said they would trust Romney, and 58
percent said they would trust the president” on foreign policy,
reported CBS. “Those numbers spiked to 49 percent and 71 percent,
respectively.”
The CBS respondents were also “evenly split, 50-50, on which candidate
would better handle China,” CBS reported.
CNN’s respondents gave Romney a 47 percent score as a strong leader,
while Obama scored slightly higher at 51 percent, despite his approval
of the successful mission that killed Osama bin Laden.
Romney scored 47 percent on likability, only one point below Obama’s
score of 48 percent, among the CNN respondents.
That's, IMO, a very important point! Despite all the negative ads about
Romney, despite portraying him as the bad guy, despite the
Failure-in-Chief being the "the cool president" everyone wants to have
over to his home for a pizza and a beer (at least that's what the
medias want to sell us - I don't want this guy not close to my house),
Romney's likability has now reached the same level as Obama's. That's
great! Think about the numbers just a couple of months ago.
Twenty-four percent of those respondents said the debate made them more
likely to vote for Obama, while 25 percent said they’re more likely to
vote for Romney.
But for voters, foreign policy is apparently less important than the
economy in the 2012 election.
That's exactly the point. People think more about how they can survive
this economy, how they can find a new job, how they can make the ends
meet. These are the problems people have right now, right here in the
USA. And they realize that a strong economy is the basis for
everything, i.e. not only for their own economic future but also for a
strong nation, a nation that is strong enough to lead again and to
defend itself against its enemies.
Some more post debate comments: Ben Shapiro writes at Breitbart:
According to Public Policy Polling, a Democratic polling institution,
53% of viewers thought Barack Obama won tonight’s third debate on
foreign policy; 42% thought Romney won. Going in, 51% were planning to
vote for Obama, as opposed to 45% for Romney. Surprisingly, Obama led
Romney by a mere 51% to 47% margin on the issue of foreign policy among
those Democratic-leaning voters.
But among independents, the numbers moved heavily toward Romney. While
55% of independents said Obama won the debate, a full 48% of the
independents said they were less likely to vote Obama after the debate.
47% of independents said they were more likely to vote Romney.
There can be only one possible explanation for these numbers. While the
public thought Obama won the debate, they didn’t like how he won it.
They felt he was arrogant and dismissive. And they felt more
comfortable with Mitt Romney as a human being – he looked presidential.
That means that the Romney strategy worked last night.
Fact is, that the Liberal Sheeples will vote for the Failure-in-Chief
anyway. Romney had (and has) to win the Independents and the undecided
voters. The debates were a great opportunity for him to present himself
as the better choice - and he did! The sheeples will benefit at the end
of the day from the choice of the Independents... in the way we
suffered the last 4 years because of the Sheeple's choice in 2008.
