A testament to faith
Groom, Texas
Edited by Bob Robinson
I’d never heard of Groom, Texas. When I got the usual “blast” email
with some fantastic photos of statues depicting the various events in
Jesus’ life, death and resurrection, my first thought was, “if true,
maybe this is a Sunday offering.”
True.
A Google search turned up dozens if not hundreds of links about this
amazing offering near a small town of a little under 600 people about
50 miles from Amarillo. It is located on Interstate 40 (what used to be
the historic Route 66).
Interestingly enough, a quick survey of links provided no immediate
information on how this happened, although the reader who sent the
email noted a possible origin in his comments.
Regardless, this is truly “A Testament to Faith.”
I have provided edited text from the email and only a few of the
photos. Any reader who is interested in seeing the entire email can
email CNO at editor@countynewsonline.org and ask for it to be
forwarded. Or… go to your favorite search engine – Google, Yahoo, Bing
or others – and type in “Groom Texas.”

IN A TOWN CALLED GROOM, TEXAS
From a CNO Reader
These are the pictures of the crucifixion of Christ, Sculptured from
metal by a man near Amarillo, TX. The crosses are made of metal also.
The man did this out of the kindness of his heart. Someone donated the
land on which to erect them.
Captions to the photos…
In chemistry, He turned water to wine.
In biology, He was born without the normal conception.
In physics, He disproved the law of gravity when He walked on water and
then later, ascended into heaven.
In economics, He disproved the law of diminishing return by feeding
5000 men with 2 fishes & 5 loaves of bread.
In medicine, He cured the sick and the blind without administering a
single dose of drugs.
In history, He is the Beginning and the End.
In government, He said that He shall be called Wonderful Counselor,
Prince of Peace.
In religion, He said no one comes to the Father except through Him;
The Greatest Man in History, He had no servants, yet they called Him
Master.
Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they
called Him Healer. Had no army, yet kings feared Him.
He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no
crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives
today...
He is Jesus!
