Obamacare
Advancing in Ohio
On
July 20th, the Cincinnati
Enquirer published an article from their recent interview with Governor
John
Kasich and his thoughts on Obamacare-Medicaid expansion in Ohio. When
asked if
Ohio would take Obama’s money to expand this welfare program in Ohio,
John
Kasich’s response was “It’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of
when. This
is inevitable.”
Before
this Pelosi-like rhetoric,
in May, backers of Obamacare expansion introduced a Kasich supported
bill in
the Ohio House of Representatives which would accept Obamacare money to
expand
Medicaid to healthy, working individuals for the first time in Ohio
history.
Just this week, another bill was introduced, and insider word in
Columbus is -
over the summer, Obamacare expansion supporters have been working
overtime to
create Obamacare friendly bills ready for passage this fall.
It
gives us no pleasure to inform
you that John Kasich and a mix of Republicans and Democrats in the Ohio
Statehouse continue to push for the government takeover of healthcare
in Ohio.
They want to accept Obamacare money and conditions to expand Ohio’s
biggest
welfare program to as many as one million new people in Ohio.
But,
it has not happened yet, and
you can stop it.
In
the past, thousands of you have
donated your hard earned money to support the cause of liberty in Ohio.
Because
you supported our efforts in booting Nancy Pelosi from leadership,
passing the
Ohio Healthcare Freedom Amendment and blocking John Kasich’s last
attempt to
add Obamacare expansion to the Ohio budget this spring – we were
successful.
We
won those battles, and we can
win this one if you will support us again.
Our
plan that successfully removed
Obamacare expansion from the Ohio budget consisted of directly
contacting
voters in the districts of key legislators by mail, phone, radio,
internet and
even some TV. Many liberty groups even organized door to door
campaigns. We
will double down on these efforts to prove we are serious about not
expanding
Obamacare in Ohio.
We
want them to hear from you, me
and as many pro-liberty Ohioans as possible.
