Guns a huge economic industry in the country

It may not surprise you to hear that the U.S. is the number one country in the world when it comes to gun ownership. But regardless of your politics, between the manufacture and sale of firearms, guns are one of the biggest economic industries in the country. 

In fact, the gun industry makes about $32 billion a year and employs approximately 98,000 people. This is five times as many employees as Google, and $10 billion more in revenue than Ford made the same year. And these numbers are only continuing to grow.
