Santorum Comments On Disappointing Jobs Report

Verona, PA - Former presidential candidate, former U.S. Senator, and Chairman of Patriot Voices Rick Santorum issued the following statement on today's disappointing jobs report.

Rick Santorum said: "The release of yet another set of monthly employment figures that did not meet even modest estimates is a reminder that our economy is at best puttering along. Even more concerning were reports issued yesterday that showed a drop in factory orders and the manufacturing sector's greatest number of layoffs since January of 2009.

"America can do better than what President Obama's failed economic policies are offering. We need to again empower the great engine of the American economy to grow, not stifle it under a mountain of regulations and taxes. Every American, from the line-worker to the CEO, is being held back by the specter of big government intruding into their lives. We must reverse course immediately, work to lift up all Americans across the entire economic spectrum, and free our economy from what five years of 'big-government-knows-best' policies have burdened us with," concluded Santorum.
