A College Student
“Bucket List”
Great Darke County Fair…
By Bob Robinson
Two young college students descended on The Great Darke County Fair
during its closing hours Saturday evening with one goal in mind… to
finish off their “bucket list” of things to eat!
Darke County Native and former Teen Advocate Editor Jordan Pridemore,
and her friend Sarah Wilson – both Ball State University Seniors – left
campus for one evening to attend the Great Darke County Fair.
The LIST: Bowman Tenderloin, Fisks Fries, Rotary Lemonade, Nachos,
Elephant Ears or Funnel Cake, Ice Cream, Corn Dog, Candy Apples, Sno
Cone, Water, Milk Shake, Turkey Leg, Potato Wedges, Pulled Pork…
Where’s the Alka Seltzer?
Over a period of about three and a half hours – believe it or not –
they checked off most of them. As they realized they were running out
of time, they “scratched” Water and Milk Shakes, and substituted a
Flowering Onion for the Potato Wedges.
Pulled Pork and Candy Apples? They took them home for another day.
Did they survive the evening? Haven’t heard, but they are a hearty
couple of young ladies. They probably did… as long as they stopped for
something to soothe an unhappy stomach.
