Partnership July 2011 Newsletter
The following are a few of the stories in the July issue of CAP’s July
Newsletter. Photos are from a recent “balloon” event. Also below… the
complete newsletter.
A look at CAP Employee... LOIS WEESE
Lois Weese, CAP Meals Driver, has been with the agency for about seven
years. She previously worked at Fram/Honeywell for almost 25 years.
Married to husband Harold, they recently celebrated 52 years together!
They have three children: son Scott, daughters Pam Furlong and Kim
McMann, and five grandchildren.
Lois said that she and her husband once did a lot of camping, but in
recent years have traveled to Greece, Egypt, Israel and Jordan. They
like to go to Tennessee to visit relatives and vacationing in Pigeon
Forge. Lois and Harold are very active with church activities and
visitation ministry through the Greenview Calvary Tabernacle Church in
Dayton. She also works in the church nursery once a month. In addition,
Lois spends quality time with her 92-year old mother, Lulu Mae Suter,
who lives at the Brethren Retirement Center. She picks her up and takes
her different places.
Lois said, “I love my job! It makes my day seeing the people I deliver
to and the smiles on their faces when I walk in. I really enjoy talking
with them.” She went on to say that her husband also works for CAP
driving for Medical Transportation. “We have been truly blessed with a
wonderful family and the many friends we’ve made over the years!”

Recently, Diane Cross, Balloonatic RN, stopped by the Greenville site
during lunch for an impromptu entertainment session, blowing up
balloons and shaping them into shapes of all kinds for everyone
present. Some of the special balloons were ladybugs, monkeys,
butterflies, fish, dogs, balloons within balloons, maracas, and much
more!
Diane is the daughter of George Gannon, a regular attendee for lunch at
Greenville. George said his daughter is a registered nurse from Redbud,
Illinois, who specializes in delivering babies and that she began
learning balloon art about 1˝years ago. She has gone to various
conferences across the country learning the art, and even appeared on
TV in St. Louis! George went on to say that if you put the balloons in
the refrigerator or freezer, they will hold their shape almost
indefinitely!
Thanks, Diane! Come visit anytime!
