From The Volunteer Leader…
It's no secret that belts are tightening. Funding is scarce, and
client lists are growing. Now, more than ever, the nonprofit
partners in our region are finding it more important to work together
to accomplish common goals and create new efficiencies.
We at HandsOn West Central Ohio believe strongly in the important role
that collaboration plays in our daily work. By working together,
we can all accomplish so much more than we can individually.
That's why we continue to participate in local and statewide
conversations that focus on this topic. Currently we are
participating in conversations about how to more effectively address
hunger amongst older adults throughout Ohio, how to best serve veterans
and military families through Make a Difference Day efforts, how to
best communicate our RSVP volunteers' impact through meetings with the
Ohio office of the Corporation for National and Community Service, how
to share services with other members of the Miami County Not-for-Profit
Council, and so much more.
