Art Changes Lives Through the lens of Heather Douglas
It was my first visit to an art museum and I felt it important to share my photos and my experience. As I walked through the art institute I found myself surrounded by some of the most beautiful pieces of art I have ever seen.
I was amazed at the age of some of the pieces and the meaning behind the works of art. A wide variety of displays could be seen, from ancient to contemporary.
It was an enjoyable and enlightening experience. It can also be a family experience. The kids will enjoy looking at the Trash Look Again exhibit (the man who looks like he was made from jelly beans, the worm and more). There are also hands-on activities for everyone to enjoy.
Heather Douglas is a First Year Fine Arts & Photography student at Edison Community College. Upon graduation she plans to work in a photography studio or as a photographer for a local newspaper.
