Eagles event a
fun-filled ghoulish one
Greenville Eagles 2177…
You’ve seen the kids on Beggars Night, the kids trick or treating
Sunday, and the local teens trick or treating for FISH… adults have
their own way of celebrating the Halloween tradition…
Dave and Janet Webb moved their annual Halloween dance and costume
contest to the Greenville Eagles recently and it was a “ghoulish”
success. Over 100 people showed up throughout the evening dressed in
everything from old West costumes to something out of a graveyard.
According to Janet Webb, they’ve been doing the event for several
years. It started with simple DJ music, but grew to the point it could
no longer be held in their barn. This year it featured American Kings
in the huge Downtown FOE 2177 facility.
Greenville Eagles FOE 2177 is a growing family fraternal organization
that supports its members through a variety of events throughout the
year. The organization is best known for the Annual Independence Day
Celebration it sponsors at Shade Road each July.
Still coming are 2177’s annual Member Thanksgiving Dinner, and several
Christmas parties, culminating in its annual New Year’s Eve
celebration. Membership applications are open to anyone 21 or older.
The organization is open to the public weekdays until 1:30 p.m. for
breakfast and lunch. Stop by, enjoy a great meal, and fill one out.
