October 29,2011
Greenville
High School Student Council
and Key Club Members helped work Timmy’s Toss and Corn Hole Tournament
on the
15th of October. The
students helped
with set up, sold tickets for and helped man the carnival games, and
kept score
for the corn hole tournament. The
White
family was very appreciative and grateful for the help from all of the
students.
The
event was held for Timmy White who is 3
years old. He lives
with the terminal
genetic disorder, MPS II, commonly called Hunter Syndrome. This
requires weekly
4 hour enzyme infusions, numerous special doctors, special schooling
and
multiple therapies. MPS II is just one out of seven MPS disorders. Some
have
treatments. Some do not. All are terminal. All proceeds from these
events will
be donated to the National MPS society to further research and trials
helping
children survive this life-limiting genetic disorder.
