30th Annual Annie Oakley Golf Tournament Results 

Results are in from the 30th Annual Annie Oakley Golf Tournament held July 25, 2011 at the Greenville Golf Course.  Ninety-six golfers teed off in the annual event.   When the last golfer finished the course, the GTI (Greenville Technologies Incorporated) team claimed winner in the low gross score division; the winning team consisted of Brad Parsons, Cary Hathaway, Doug Spohn, and Hide Sasaki.  First place in the net score division was a team called the Accountants who consisted of Rodney Oda, Jack Born, Randy O’Dell, and Terry Marten. 

The annual tournament banquet was held in the Greenville Golf Course dining room where golfers and their guests were served a delicious dinner and special golf prizes were awarded.  

The highlight of the evening was the special guest speaker, Mr. Mark Cotter, a throat cancer survivor who shared his highly inspirational story with those in attendance for the tournament banquet.  Mr. Cotter’s story reminded many of why they support both the Annie Oakley Golf Tournament and the Cancer Association of Darke County. 

$ 14,000 in proceeds from the Annie Oakley Golf Tournament was presented to the local and independent Cancer Association of Darke County.  The Cancer Association gives various types of aid to Darke County residents with a diagnosis of cancer.
