Retirement Community (BRC) ...
BRC
needs volunteers for the library
August 31, 2011
You
don’t have to know the Dewey Decimal System to “play
librarian” for one local retirement community!
Brethren
Retirement Community needs volunteers to assist residents
with checking books, magazines and other materials in and out from the
organization’s on-site library. Volunteers will also return
items to
shelves as needed. This opportunity is available to
volunteers who are at
least 18 years old every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or
Tuesday and
Friday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
“The
library aide gives support to the residents by assisting with reading
selection and checking books in and out. Their
visual presence
assures visitors to the library that help is readily available,” says
Janet
Ashworth, Volunteer Coordinator Brethren Retirement Community.
