This Memorial Plaque inside the Greenville Fire Department garage
depicts the mood of the day as Darke County gathered to remember those
who perished ten years earlier on Sept. 11, 2001.
Ceremony photos included Greenville High School Band girls, GHS Band
Drummer, Baton Twirler and Clarinetist. Many will recognize Darke
County Commissioner Diane Delaplane and her companion. They were there
among hundreds of other patriotic citizens.
Local veterans form the Color Guard giving a salute to honor Sept. 11.
There were many participants in the parade, including an army truck
displaying flags from all armed forces, Greenville Fire Department
trucks, Greenville Township Rescue van/truck and a Greenville Police
Department car.
The flag at the Greenville Fire Department Open House was made
especially to memorialize Sept. 11, 2001.
