Ohio
Supreme Court...
National
Library Week
April 10, 2012
The Ohio Supreme Court Law Library is celebrating National Library Week
April 8-14. It’s a great time to visit the library and get reacquainted
with all the resources it offers.
National Library Week is celebrated to help motivate people to read as
well as support and use local libraries. This year’s theme is “You
belong @ your library.” The first National Library Week was observed in
1958.
The Ohio Supreme Court Law Library offers access to Lexis, Westlaw,
HeinOnline and other databases for visitors at public terminals. The
court’s librarians also offer research assistance in person, by phone
or via email libref@sc.ohio.gov.
“Our knowledgeable staff can help you with a variety of tasks including
locating a case, getting an Ohio Supreme Court brief, and obtaining the
prior version of an Ohio law,” said Erin Waltz, library public services
manager at the court.
Waltz said the law library also has a large collection of treatises
that can be checked out by residents with an Ohio Supreme Court library
card. Cards can be obtained for free at the library.
