State Senator Keith Faber
(R–Celina) was named Tuesday as a “Defender of Liberty” by the American
Conservative Union (ACU). Senator Faber received the award during a
ceremony
this morning in the Ladies Gallery of the Ohio Statehouse.
“Increasing
government accountability
and establishing a fiscally responsible government have long been goals
of
mine,” said Faber. “I am honored that the American Conservative Union
has
recognized our efforts and progress in Ohio.”
The
Defender of Liberty Award
recognizes Senator Faber’s 100% conservative voting record during the
2012
session of the 129th General Assembly.
The
American Conservative Union is
based out of Alexandria, Virginia.
Senator
Faber represents Ohio’s
12th Senate District, which includes Allen, Champaign, Mercer, Preble,
and
Shelby Counties, as well as portions of Auglaize and Darke Counties. He currently serves as
President Pro Tempore
