Women hear OFRW Officer

VP Linda Burke tells group never give up

GREENVILLE
- “When we work together, we can
move mountains, and we need every one of you.” said Ohio Federation of
Republican Women’s (OFRW) Southwest District Vice-president Linda Burke
when
she spoke to the Darke County Republican Women’s Club (DCRWC) recently. “Our local clubs are of
course the
foundation, but when you move up to the state level you can affect
things like helping
elect Sharon Kennedy to the Ohio Supreme Court “
“We
need to be tending that flame of freedom, and protecting it.” continued
Burke
and she paraphrased Winston Churchill, “Never, never, never, never give
up.”
“It
was so nice to have Linda here to speak to our group. We were so happy
to host
her and hear what is going on with the OFRW.” Said DCRWC President
Sally
Zeiter.
DCRWC
will holds regular monthly meetings on
the second Monday of every month, with the exceptions of January and
August.
Regular meetings are held in the Chestnut Village Center of the
Brethren Home
Retirement Community.
Dinner
is available by prior reservation, at a cost of $7.50 per
person. Anyone wishing to join the group at 6:30 p.m. for dinner, prior
to the
evening's meeting and program, may place reservations by calling or
emailing
Wavelene Denniston before noon on the Thursday preceding the meeting.

before 7 p.m. for
the program.
The club is currently on a membership drive and welcomes new
members interested in the Darke County community and promoting
Republican
