Jon Jordan
Agency a Valued Benefactor to Children’s Programming
Darke County Center for the Arts...
Jon Jordan Agency has once again donated funds to sponsor Darke County
Center for the Arts’ Family Theatre Series programming. “Generous
benefactors are the key to DCCA’s ability to present quality
programming for children at an affordable ticket price of $5,” claims
DCCA Executive Director, Julie Strait. “We applaud and are
grateful for Jon Jordan Agency’s commitment to providing opportunities
for youngsters in our community to learn and grow through the arts.”
According to Strait, DCCA’s Family Theatre Series attracts a
wide-ranging audience, which includes many preschool children enjoying
their first theater experience, as well as senior citizens who enjoy
the shows’ strong depiction of traditional values. Programs take
place at St. Clair Memorial Hall in Greenville on Sunday’s at 2:00
P.M.
Still to come in the 2011-2012 season, The House At Pooh Corner on
March 25th features our dear friends from the Hundred Acre Woods.
Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, Eyeore, Rabbit, Tigger,
Kanga and Roo, are deeply rooted in memory for generations of children,
and will spring to life in this delightfully
production. Theatre IV’s reproduction of the classic
A.A. Milne book uses creative costuming and props in a program that
inspires children to use their imagination and creativity for endless
hours of wholesome, electronic-free, play time.
The final show of the season is Wizard of Oz scheduled for Sunday, May
6, at 2:00 pm. American Family Theatre’s lavish production
of this perennial favorite will lead families on an adventurous journey
with Dorothy through the magical Land of Oz as she and her friends
discover the magic that lies within themselves.
Tickets to both upcoming productions are $5 and are available by
contacting DCCA at (937) 547-0908 or DCCA@CenterForArts.net.
Tickets may be purchased at Readmore’s Hallmark in Greenville, Worch
