Partnership
announced with Darke County Parks
February 8, 2012
Greenville
Community Gardens, a community garden initiative based in and around
Greenville, Ohio, has announced a formal partnership with Darke County
Parks.
Darke
County Parks will allow the community garden program to utilize park
property
to establish one or more community gardens. These community gardens
will
provide local residents the ability to rent a parcel of land and
possibly share
resources in growing a variety of plants as well as providing
educational
opportunities, all the while fostering a sense of community and common
purpose
among the participants
Darke
County Parks will also allow the program access to facilities and
resources to
create educational opportunities and programs to further enhance the
ability
and success of participants in the Greenville Community Garden program.
Keep an
eye out for future updates with more details on what programs will be
available
and when.
