get presentation on educating educators
February 2, 2012
Joel Sink
of The Darke Economic Foundation spoke to the local Rotary Club. Mr. Sink explained that
the foundation
teaches teachers and school administration people basic economics so
that they
can, in turn, go into the classrooms and teach students. The basic program was
originally started by
The Greenville Rotary Club members in 1977 and is now being copied by
many
other states around the country. Pictured above are Joel Sink and
Phillip
Pierri, president of Greenville Rotary.
Rotary’s
state purpose it to bring together
business and professional leaders to provide humanitarian service,
encourage
high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and
peace in
the world. Rotary’s primary motto is “Service above Self.”
