Most Wanted comes
back; IMTV milestone unveiled
CNO First Anniversary... Year’s End
By Bob Robinson
County News Online continues to grow, even as it begins to wind down
for the holiday season. In addition, we covered the biggest county
event to take place during the fourth quarter of 2011… the Darke County
Crime Stoppers and the Sheriff’s Office bringing back their successful
‘Most Wanted’ program.
We published gave priority to Most Wanted when I was at the Advocate,
and continue to do so now at CNO. To date, the program has resulted in
the capture of 60 fugitives.
In October, Sports Editor George Starks introduced CNO’s Athletes of
the Month, and in December Greenville High School’s IMTV program
unveiled its Digital Waves web site as a sub-domain of County News
Online. This has opened up new opportunities for Darke County schools
and students in 2012.
It was politics as usual with the coming of the General Election in
November, but everything started settling down as we approached
Thanksgiving and the Christmas Holidays.
Once again, the Senior Scribes, Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund, County
News Online, CNO Volunteers and I would like to thank our readers and
sponsors for their support in making our first year a tremendous
success.
Watch for a bigger and better 2012.
