of the
Bowl For Kids’ Sake 2012 Prizes. Grand Prize winner was Scott Philpot

taking home $500 cash!

Anthony’s Restaurant, champagne, chocolates, and continental
breakfast...plus a
$10 Gift Certificate to the Winery at Versailles.
$200 Kroger
card went out to Paulette Kiernan of Botkins.

The bowling
event was held Friday and Sunday, March 2 and 4, at Bel-Mar Lanes in
Sidney and
March 4th at Mc Bo’s Lanes in Versailles.
The agency
would like to thank all the businesses and individuals who supported
their
biggest fundraiser of the year. The
money raised goes directly towards establishing one-to-one mentoring
relationships between caring adults and vulnerable children.
Big
Brothers Big Sisters would like to send a big shout out to the
community for
their awesome support of our fund raising event!!
To date our preliminary figures show we
raised 23,000. During
the two day event
we have 360 community participants come out to raise funds for the
program.
Bowl for
Kids’ Sake is a nationally recognized event, and almost 700 agencies
across the
county participate and hold the event.
Big Brothers Big Sisters evaluates its
effectiveness and impact on a
national and local level. Results
show
that children who are mentored are more likely to improve in school and
in
their relationships with family and peers and are less likely to skip
school or
use illegal drugs or alcohol.
