Children
receive letter from the President
Kids Learning Place...
The children at Kids Learning Place in Greenville’s Busy Bees classroom
were studying about the Post Office, when along came Presidents
Day. They decided to write and mail a letter to the President on
their field trip to the Ansonia Post Office.
In writing the letter the children talked about how words are written
down and communicated to others. Their motto for the week was:
“If we think it, we can say it; if we say it, we can write it.
And if we write it, we can read it; if we wrote it, we can mail
it!”
Weeks later in the mail, they received a large envelope from the White
House. The children were very excited that it included a letter
and photo from President Obama, information about the White House and a
story of “A day in the life of Bo, the President’s dog”.
