County Animal Shelter... Pets of the
week May 19, 2012
We have Mit
at the Darke County Animal Shelter. He is a 4-month-old Lab mix. He is white
with short hair. He is a little sweetheart and will grow to around 70 pounds.
He will make a wonderful companion and loves people. He is current on his shots
and is looking for a great home. He is ready to be adopted. We also have his
sister Hollie.
We have
FiFi at the Darke County Animal Shelter. She is a 5-year-old Shih-Tzu mix. She
is white, black, and gray with long hair. She is a friendly little girl. She
will make a great house companion. She is looking for a new home and ready to
be adopted.
We have
Peanut at the Darke County Animal Shelter. She is a 1-year-old Dachshund mix.
She is black, brown and white with long hair. She is a friendly little girl.
She will make a great house companion. She is looking for a new home and ready
to be adopted.
We also
have a collie mix, some corgi mix puppies, a beagle and numerous other dogs. We
also have cats and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter
hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon on Saturday. The
Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in Greenville, and the phone number
is 547-1645.
In
conjunction with June being “Adopt a Pet month”, the Darke County Animal
Shelter will be having an open house on Saturday June 16th 2012 from noon to
3pm. There will be free Hotdogs, drinks and a free chance to win Kitchenaid
products. There will also be a coloring contest and a DJ will be on hand to
provide music. Cats and dogs will be available for adoption at this event. Stop
by and check out the progress of the new “Dog Park”. The Friends of the Shelter
will be on hand to assist in the adoption of your new best friend.
ALL DOGS OVER 3 MONTHS OF AGE MUST HAVE A
