“Summer
of
Connections” Program offered for local Youth
May 18, 2012
This summer
the Gateway Youth Program is partnering with AmeriCorps for
Entrepreneurial
Success to offer an exciting eight week program for youth in Darke
County.
This will
be a fantastic program that runs from June 18 to August 9; every Monday
through
Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
This
is a great opportunity for youth aged 7 to 17 to meet new people, stay
active,
discover and experience new interests, and have a blast at the same
time.
The program
will offer lots of activities; art, fishing, swimming, sports,
educational
experiences, board games, field trips and much, much more. This is a program will
help ensure that every
child and teen has a chance to find fun, safe and enriching activities
to do
this summer.
The cost is
very family friendly at only a small one-time payment of $10.00, with
all
current Gateway youth participants covered under their intake fee.
So… how do
you sign up? Registration
paperwork can
be picked up at Council on Rural Services in Greenville, 116 East Third
Street
between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Spots are limited, but your spot will be
reserved
upon completion of paper work and payment received.
The
deadline for program registration is Friday, June 8th.
