Symphony Orchestra “Classical Thunder”

and Gini Stuckey have donated
funds in the name of their daughter, Ami McClurkin, sponsoring the
Saturday,
April 27th “Classical Thunder” performance by the Toledo Symphony
Orchestra. Darke
County Center for the
Arts presents an orchestral performance annually as part of its Artists
Series. DCCA
Executive Director Andrea
Jordan stated, “We are humbled and yet proud to have the support of
individuals
who recognize and appreciate the importance of the arts and choose to
support
arts programming in our community.”
“DCCA is fortunate to have strong
community support which enables us to
present professional performing artists for local residents to enjoy,”
she
concluded.
The
Toledo Symphony Orchestra will
be performing the program “Classical Thunder” including some of the
most
powerful music ever written, including fierce and rousing selections
such as
Wagner’s “Ride of the Valkyries”, Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 6” and
Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture”.
Jim
and Enid Goubeaux and
Greenville Federal are also sponsors of the Toledo Symphony Orchestra
performance. Additionally,
the Harry D.
and Esther Stephens Memorial Fund as well as the Ohio Arts Council,
which helps
fund Darke County Center for the Arts with state tax dollars to
encourage
economic growth, educational excellence, and cultural enrichment for
all
Ohioans, provide operating support.
Tickets
for Toledo Symphony
Orchestra cost $30 for adults and $15 for students; good seats are
still
available. To

Tickets will also be sold at the door.
The concert begins at 8:00 pm at Henry
St. Clair Memorial Hall.
