Midmark Receives C-TPAT
Certification
VERSAILLES,
Ohio – (January 29, 2013) – Midmark
Corporation, a leading provider of medical, dental and veterinary
healthcare
equipment solutions, recently announced it received its Customs-Trade
Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certification, a voluntary
government
initiative to build cooperative relationships that strengthen the
internal
supply chain and the U.S. border security.
The
C-TPAT offers businesses an opportunity to
play an active role in the war against terrorism. With Midmark
participating in
C-TPAT, it can guarantee a more secure supply chain for its employees,
suppliers and customers.
The
C-TPAT certification will benefit Midmark
and its customers by reducing the number of inspections and border wait
times,
allowing shipments to arrive quicker at all Midmark U.S. locations.
Midmark was
also assigned a C-TPAT specialist to serve as the CBP liaison for
self-policing
and self-monitoring of security activities, reduced selection rate for
Compliance Measurement Examinations, improved workforce security, and
greater
supply chain integrity.
Joel
Haws, corporate logistics manager stated,
“This is a very big achievement for Midmark. It was important for us to
obtain
this certification as we focus more on becoming a global organization.
Not only
will this certification ensure that we are following sound security
practices
and procedures, but it will also show that Midmark is making a vital
contribution to help secure our borders and ensure the continued free
flow of
international trade.”
