CNO Fundraisers
Help kids, and
get your favorite photos or cartoons
By Bob Robinson
County News Online was established as a Senior Scribes fundraising
project in January, 2011. The SSSF has given out nearly $24,000 in
scholarships since its inception, with more than $13,000 of it coming
from CNO.
SSSF and CNO have helped 20 Darke County students achieve their college
goals, some of them twice. For this accomplishment, we thank the Senior
Scribes for their fundraising efforts and CNO Sponsors for their
generous help.

The need for help doesn’t go away. With college expenses continually on
the rise, and County News Online’s goal of establishing a long-term
service to the community and its students, CNO financial needs continue
to increase.
With that in mind, we are offering sponsors something in return for
their generosity.
Paul Ackley fan? Paul joined CNO last week. His second cartoon appears
today. Paul has been an active Editorial Cartoonist for over thirty
years. In 2009 and 2010, he was awarded ‘Best Editorial Cartoonist' by
the Ohio Associated Press. He has a drawing displayed in House Speaker
John Boehner's Washington D.C. office. Ackley has long been an icon of
editorial delight (and criticism) in Greenville and Darke County. His
cartoons have ranged from Memorials to biting local and national
politics.
His cartoons are available in return for your donations. Check them out
here
Local sports fan? Get our student athletes in action for all CNO photos
taken by CNO Sports Photographer Dylan Knoop and Sports Editor George
Starks. Game and event photos are updated weekly.

Local community events fan? You will often find a CNO volunteer taking
pictures at community events, such as Independence Day parades;
Greenville’s Memorial Day, Beggar’s Night and Holiday Horse Parades,
Versailles Poultry Days and more. As time permits, selected photos will
be available in return for your donations.
Coming soon.
All images are available in high resolution format or a print suitable
for framing at 8x10 or 8-1/2 x 11.
Help County News Online and the Senior Scribes Scholarship Fund
continue providing its information service to the community, AND make
scholarship funding available to local students.
