MVCTC Provides
Apprenticeship Opportunities
Clayton, Ohio -- MVCTC currently has 33 students participating in the
Apprenticeship program and Internships with local business partners in
many different career areas. The Apprenticeship program allows
students to work and earn a paycheck, while learning skills and earning
the certifications employers want. In most cases, an Apprenticeship
student will work two weeks on a job related to their career program
and then spend two weeks at school.
They are responsible for keeping up on all of their academic classwork
at all times. MVCTC provides students with a laptop and online
resources to ensure students do not fall behind on their
classwork. The work completed for the employer on the
Apprenticeship counts towards the student’s career technical program
grade. This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain
real-life work experience and oftentimes leads to full-time employment.
