Incumbent
Workforce
Training Effort
Clayton,
Ohio – The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC) Adult
Education
division is positioned to meet employer needs as part of Governor
Kasich’s
Incumbent Workforce Development Reform Initiative.
The Governor’s office recently
announced, “a
new and aggressive approach to helping Ohio workers improve their
skills while
also enhancing the economic competitiveness of Ohio companies. The Ohio
Incumbent Workforce Training Voucher Program provides $20 million for
training
opportunities designed to enhance worker skills.”
The
program provides direct financial assistance to both Ohio workers
looking to
improve their skills and employers looking to enhance the skills of
their
workforce. The program is designed to offset a portion of the employer
or
employee’s costs for training and will provide reimbursement to
eligible
employers for specific costs accrued during training. Interested
employers or
employees are encouraged to visit ae.mvctc.com to see what training is
available. MVCTC Adult Education is able to work with employers to
customize a
training plan to meet their needs. For more information about Incumbent
Worker
Training, please contact Joel Sink at 937-854-6089.
