for All Ages
The
Greenville
Public Library is offering three summer reading programs – for
Children, Teens,
and Adults. Each
one is fun and easy to
participate in and great prizes are available.
The whole family can stop by the Library
and get started reading!
“Dig
Reading” for
Children ages 10 and under: Sign up at the Circulation Desk; request a
Reading
Sheet; read at least 20 minutes a day for at least 5 days; put a
sticker on
your Reading Sheet for each day; each week bring your Reading Sheet to
the Desk
to have it stamped and to pick out a prize.
Turn in your Reading Sheet before July
27 for the grand prize drawing!
“Beneath
the
Surface” for Teens (YA) ages 11 to 18: Read a book; fill out a book
review
(forms at Desk); return book reviews to be entered to win weekly prizes. Five YA events are also
scheduled. The
first is a Drawing Workshop with local
artist Paul Ackley on June 11 at 4:00 p.m.
It's free and all materials are provided!
“Groundbreaking
Reads” for Adults 18 to 108: Read
or
listen to any book, CD book, or ebook checked out from GPL; fill out
and turn
in an entry form; win weekly prizes such as hanging flower baskets,
movie
passes, restaurant gift cards. All
entries will be in the Grand Prize drawing.
Program is from July 17 to July 26.
