New
“Museum in a Suitcase for Children” Program available
The
Garst Museum is excited to announce an additional traveling Museum in a
Suitcase program. The new program is specifically created for groups of
children ranging from the second to sixth grades. Garst Museum docents
will
bring a suitcase of museum artifacts to your local group or classroom
and present
a unique program highlighting the Garst Museum. The forty-five to sixty
minute
programs are free and are available for schools and activities such as
Girl
Scouts, Boy Scouts, or 4-H clubs.
Garst
Museum also offers a Museum in a Suitcase program for local adult
groups. Both
Museum in a Suitcase programs are offered at no charge and include
opportunities to handle museum artifacts and to learn and reminisce
about times
gone by.
