Darke County Mayors’ Assn elects officers 

The Darke County Mayors’ Association elected its 2013 officers at its March 21 meeting. Re-elected president was Gary Lee Young, Mayor of Wayne Lakes. Also elected: Vice president - Tony Spires - Mayor of Pitsburg and Sec/Treas. - Dana Heck - Mayor of Hollansburg. 

The Mayors’ Association was founded to give Mayors a chance to discuss problem areas, hoping to get possible solutions from fellow mayors. Meetings are held in the Darke County EMA offices, giving the EMA director a chance to cover issues with one meeting. The Association has 20 members.
