Partner for the Arts Sponsoring DCCA Coffee House Series
Thomas
H. and Julie Graber, Steve and Eileen Litchfield, and Rodney Oda have
once again contributed funds as co-sponsors of Darke County Center
for the Arts’ Coffee House Series. According to DCCA Executive
Director Andrea Jordan, “DCCA is grateful for their sponsorship of
this series as well as their commitment to presenting the performing
arts in Darke County.”
The
Coffee House Series consists of five performances at different venues
around the county. Taking place on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm,
food and drink are available to purchase at each venue and enjoy
along with the program for a relaxing and casual opportunity to enjoy
the arts. “The Coffee House Series is a fun evening out, and a
great way to enjoy the arts up close, the smaller venues provide this
rare opportunity,” shared Jordan.
The
2013-2014 series kicked off in September with Wild Carrot at the
Arcanum Wayne Trail Historical Society House in Arcanum, and
continued in October at The Montage Café, where Carpe Diem String
Quartet performed for a sold out audience. The series next stop is
The Coffee Pot, November 14, featuring Doug Hamilton and the trio
Wing Walker. In 2014 Jamie Sue Seal & John Latini return with
their Un-Valentine’s Show on February 13 at the Bistro Off Broadway
and the series will conclude on April 3 at the Union City Arts Depot
with musicians and storytellers Kim & Reggie Harris.
“Thanks
to the support of our sponsors, tickets to Coffee House Series
performances are $10,” concluded Jordan “I have been told more
than once that the quality of these performances is worth well more
that the cost of the ticket.” For more information on DCCA’s
