Pets of the week
We have
Gus at the Darke
County Animal Shelter. He is a 3-year-old Shepherd. He is black and
tan with long hair. He is a little shy but warms up once you get to
know him. He is a big guy and will make a good friend. He is looking
for a new home and family.
We have
Natalie at the
Darke County Animal Shelter. She is a 9-month-old Australian Cattle
dog/Lab mix. She is white and brown with short hair. She is current
on her shots, housebroken and has been spayed. She doesn’t care
much for cats. She is very playful and likes to play ball. She will
make a great friend and companion. She is waiting for a new family to
live with.
We have
Dexter at the Darke
County Animal Shelter. She is a 4-year-old Fox terrier mix. She is
mostly white with a little black and brown on her. She has short
hair. She is a little girl and weighs less than 20 pounds. She is
full of energy and will make a great playmate. She is waiting to be
adopted.
We also
have a couple of
husky mixes, a beagle mix, a couple of Labs and numerous other dogs.
We also have cats and kittens for adoption.
The
Shelter hours are 8am
till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon on Saturday. The Shelter
is located at 5066 County Home Road in Greenville, and the phone
number is 547-1645.
Its that
time of the year
again to get your "Pets Picture Taken with Santa Claus". On
December 7th
2013 "The Friends of the Shelter" invite you to bring your
entire family to Wal-Mart in Greenville for a picture with Santa
Claus. The hours are from 10am till 2pm in the Wal-Mart Garden
center. The whole family is welcome including you companion animal
friends. The seating is only $4.00 and the proceeds go to help the
dogs and cats at the Darke County Animal Shelter. You can call the
