announces new board members
Big
Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby &
Darke County is pleased to announce the newest members on our Board
of Trustees. They are: Velina Bogart of Sidney. Velina works at
Edison Community College as the Coordinator of Early College
Programs. Tyler Hamby of Sidney. Tyler works as a Loan Officer for
Fifth Third Bank, Tom Martin of Sidney. Tom is President of Sidney
Body Carstar. Dana Rex of Greenville. Dana works for Greenville
Federal as a Loan Originator. Larry Schultz of Piqua. Larry is Vice
President of Operations at Freshway Foods.
The
returning board members include:
Chad Beanblossom of Greenville. Chad works at Indiana University East
as an Academic Advisor. Diane Delaplane of Greenville. Diane is a
Darke County Commissioner. Shelley Fireoved of Troy. Shelley works
for Pro Driver. Kyle Goubeaux of Troy. Kyle is manager of Megacity
Fire Protection. David Keiser of Versailles. David is owner of
Littman-Thomas Inc. James Lehmkuhl’ of Sidney. James is employed as
an accountant at Murray Wells Wendeln Robinson. Angie Ross of Sidney.
Angie works at Money Concepts where she is the office manager. Tonya
Slonaker of Sidney. Tonya works for the Sidney City schools as a
guidance counselor. Mike Snyder of Greenville. Mike is retired. Greg
Zechar of Greenville. Greg works at Zechar Bailey Funeral Homes.
Board
Members play an intricate role in
ensuring the success of our Big Brothers Big Sisters program. The
mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shelby & Darke County is
to make a positive difference in the lives of children and youth,
primarily through a professionally-supported one-to-one relationship
with a caring adult, and to assist them in achieving their highest
potential as they grow to become confident, competent, and caring
individuals, by providing committed volunteers, national leadership,
and standards of excellence.
There
are currently over 15 children in
Shelby and Darke Counties waiting to be matched with an adult mentor.
