Darke County
Parks coloring contest winners
Held on the October First Friday event for Downtown Greenville, the
Citizens for Darke County Parks concluded a coloring contest, a
“drawing for a drawing.” All Darke County school-aged
children were invited to send in a drawing of a tree, home to various
woodland animals. All drawings were entered into a drawing, held
at A & B Coffee and Cake Co. at the conclusion of First
Friday. Holding the FOR Darke County Parks sign is Betsy
Ward of A & B Coffee and Cake Co. where the drawing was held. Riley
Hunt, student at South School and $100 prize winner in the drawing was
presented with the check by Mary Gray Kinnison, treasurer of the
Citizens for Darke County Parks. Riley’s winning work was
the last one pulled in the drawing sponsored by the Citizens for Darke
Co. Parks.
