GHS Students of the Month

GREENVILLE - The Kiwanis of Greenville Students of the Month for September were Cole Ward and Nicole Mangas. They were honored at the October 16 meeting.

Cole is Student Body and Class President, plays Varsity Baseball, was on the Homecoming Court, and belongs to NHS and SADD. He plans to attend a 4-year Christian college and major in mathematics and actuarial science. Cole's parents Stacie & Christopher Ward were present.

Nicole is in NHS, Orchestra, College Club, and Varsity Calculus. She participates in 4-H Non-Livestock and in the Richmond Symphony's Orchestra-Within-an-Orchestra program. She plans to attend Huntington University and major in English Literature as well as play violin in their orchestra. Nicole's parents Diana & Brian Manges and grandfather were present.

Kiwanis is a local community service organization that meets for lunch every Wednesday at Chestnut Community Center at the Brethren Retirement Community. Interesting speakers on a variety of topics, from other community service organizations to local government officials, are presented to the group each week. All interested local residents are encouraged to stop by and join the fun.
