– At 10:17 a.m. Oct. 17 millions of people “Dropped, Covered and Held
On” in
the Great Central U.S. ShakeOut, the region’s largest earthquake drill
ever.
Lynne
Gump, director of the American Red Cross, Darke County Chapter, told
members
and guests at the Kiwanis of Greenville meeting Oct. 16 about the drill
and the
possible danger of an earthquake in Southwest Ohio.
Kiwanian
Dave Keiser was kind enough to demonstrate the safety procedure for the
group.
Kiwanis
meets weekly Wednesdays at noon at the Chestnut Community Center,
Brethren
Retirement Community.
