Boehner
congratulates 8th District Art Competition winners
WASHINGTON,
DC – Congressman John Boehner (R-West Chester) today congratulated
the 8th District’s 2014 Congressional Art Competition winners. A
full list of this year’s winners is included below.
“The
Congressional Art Competition gives high school students from our
local area an opportunity to share their work with the whole
country,” Boehner said. “I’m always impressed to see so many
talented young artists, and this year was no exception. Congratulations
to all of the winners.”
Christine
Tweddell’s Grand Prize entry, Restless, will hang in the U.S.
Capitol for one year. Tweddell will receive two round-trip plane
tickets courtesy of a national airline to attend an awards ceremony
with winners from other congressional districts in Washington, DC, in
June, and she will be eligible for a $3000/year scholarship to a
renowned college of arts and design.
Ronald
Caudill’s First Place entry, Dying Love, will hang in the Office of
the Speaker of the House for one year.
