Storing Santa's Gifts
(before his midnight run)?
"Working in the self-storage industry, SpareFoot is always thinking of
things in terms of storage-- the size, the price, the arrangement. This
year we got to thinking, what if Santa needed to store all the toys he
delivers for the entire year? How much space would he need? Where would
it be? How much would that cost?
After some internal debating we did the math and found the results to
be quite surprising. Below in an infographic showcasing what we found--
turns out there is one facility in particular that might be perfect for
the job!"
What Would It Take to Store Santa’s Gifts?
By John Egan
December 4, 2014
Before and during the holiday season, Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and the
elves have their hands full. At Santa’s North Pole workshop, they
(mostly the elves) rack up a lot of time cobbling together toys and
other gifts for kids around the world.
But when they’ve got all those presents assembled, where do Santa and
his crew put them? Since we’re all about storage here at SpareFoot, we
decided to do some math and figure out what it would take for Old Saint
Nick to stash that stuff at a self-storage facility in North Pole, AK.
In this infographic, we share what we learned. Let’s just say that
we’re amazed at how Santa manages to haul around all of those gifts in
his sleigh.
