Edison’s annual
College Fair a success
With over 700 area high school students in attendance, Edison Community
College’s recent College Fair proved to be a success. Students from
Botkins, Bradford, Christian Academy, Fairlawn, Milton-Union, Piqua,
Sidney, and Russia were on campus to learn more about the various
educational opportunities available to them.
“The College Fair was a success and I’m already excited for next year!”
said Christina Raterman, Enrollment Manager at Edison. “I’m grateful to
all the high school counselors and teachers who got the word out to
their students about this awesome opportunity.”
Over 60 colleges and universities from Ohio, Indiana, and Tennessee
were at Edison to speak with students, parents and guidance counselors
about opportunities in higher education. Advisors and representatives
were available to address questions regarding courses, tuition, job
placement rates for majors, accreditation, the transfer process, and
more.
“We had 63 college representatives on campus to speak to students and
community members,” added Raterman. “Many representatives let me know
that the students seemed really prepared and asked a lot of great
questions.”
Edison Community College highlighted its more than 30 associate degrees
and one-year certificate programs, designed to help students transfer
to four-year colleges and universities or help launch a professional
career. For more information on the College's extensive academic
catalog, visit www.edisonohio.edu.
