Event to Raise Money for Foundation
Dylan Williams Forever an All-Star Foundation to benefit
DAYTON, Ohio, September 2, 2014 — The Midmark Corporation Feel the Heat
Wellness Committee recently hosted an event featuring speaker Harvey
Alston at the Versailles Performing Arts Center. All proceeds were
donated to the Dylan Williams Forever an All-Star Foundation for AEDs
needed at local ballparks.
Harvey Alston, considered one of the most dynamic, “high octane”
speakers in America, gave an inspiring presentation about being
personally responsible for one’s own happiness. During his
presentation, Alston associated the acronym “HAPPY” with Health,
Attitude, People, Pride and You; while emphasizing making a difference
every single day. His message aligned well with one of Midmark’s core
values of supporting “Engaged and Healthy Teammates and Families” as
well as the belief its teammates hold – “making a positive difference
in every life we touch.”
Georgiana Williams, Midmark teammate, lost her young son, Dylan, when
he was struck in the neck during an All-Star baseball practice last
year and immediately went into cardiac arrest with no AED equipment
available at the ball field. The foundation will use the proceeds to
purchase life saving AED equipment for local youth sports facilities
and to help promote sports safety and awareness.
