Curves of Piqua
offers free membership to qualifying local military families
Curves of Piqua announces that it will provide free memberships to
actively deployed reservists and National Guard personnel and their
immediate family members in support of Joining Forces, a national
initiative that mobilizes all sectors of society to give American
service personnel and their families the opportunities and support they
have earned.
"These men and women, and their families, make tremendous sacrifices
and show incredible strength in their service to our country," said
Bonnie White of Curves of Piqua. "It’s an honor to participate in the
Joining Forces initiative to support the military families in our area."
Curves International, Inc., the parent company of Curves of Piqua,
plays a leadership role in the fitness industry trade association known
as IHRSA (the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub
Association). Recently, IHRSA President and CEO Joe Moore joined
First Lady Michelle Obama on the South Lawn of the White House to
announce the launch of the IHRSA Joining Forces Network. This program
allows clubs throughout the United States to support Joining Forces
with free membership offers to qualifying active service members.
Curves of Piqua is offering a limited number of 1-month memberships at
no charge to immediate family members of actively deployed reservists
and National Guard members. "Immediate family members" may include the
spouse, teenage children, parents or siblings of the actively-deployed
service member.
"We look forward to welcoming our local military families to Curves of
Piqua," said White. "I know that all of our members join me in thanking
these brave men and women for their service."

About Curves
Curves is the largest fitness franchise in the world,
helping women in over 90 countries lead healthier lives. The
company was founded in 1993 by Gary and Diane Heavin, who saw an
opportunity to provide a fast, affordable workout for women in an
industry that had often focused primarily on the needs of men.
Since then, the company has continued to innovate, most recently with
the launch of Curves Complete, an integrated program that combines
exercise, meal plans, and one-on-one coaching for more effective weight
loss. For more information, please visit www.curves.com.
