The Perfect Wingman

Hey single guys, have you ever been in a social situation where you
needed someone to help you sort through all of the people and find a
girl to talk to? Have you been trying to find the nerve to talk to that
cute girl in the corner but don’t have the strength or encouragement to
do so? Is that girl you were hoping to talk to by yourself actually
with other people at the moment? Well, then you need a wingman!
You have probably have heard of that term before. For those of you who
have not watched “How I met Your Mother” or don’t talk very often to
someone between the ages of 18-35, a “wingman” is one who hangs out
with a friend in a social situation and helps him find a suitable
companion.
What many may not know is that the term actually comes from the air
force as a “wingman” was a plane that flew behind another plane in
order to provide protection and support. So, if you do not get anything
else out of this article, at least you can say where the term “wingman”
might have originated.
Now, I can safely say that I have been in these situations: alone and
afraid. But now, now I am confident with whom I can say is the perfect
wingman. And you know what? I’m willing to share; you can have him as
your wingman, too!
Who is this guy that can help you out in these uncomfortable situations
that you just want to give up all hope? Well, it’s actually one you may
not expect… It’s God!
Yeah, I do not think many people think of God as the kind of person who
would help guys pick up chicks, but he’s a special wingman who can help
you find “the one.” Here’s a list why he would make the perfect wingman
for all of you single guys:
#1: He knows everything about these girls: favorite food, interests,
hobbies, religion
#2: He can warn you if a girl is crazy or obsessive
#3: You don’t have to worry about him stealing the girl you were
interested in
#4: He gives you great lines to say
#5: He can give you the confidence to talk to that cute girl in the
corner
#6: He is always there for you when you need him
#7: He is there to support you without actually being there (if that
makes any sense)
#8: He can give you hope that if you did not find anyone today, there’s
always tomorrow!
You see, you don’t need a person to help you find the one! What
do people know, anyway? True, He won’t directly talk to you nor have a
conversation with you. However, if you try hard enough, He will give
you signs and indications to help you figure out #1 and #2. Why not
trust yourself in the Almighty, Omniscient, Omnipotent Being who loves
you so much, that not only is He willing to do the big stuff for you,
but also the little stuff, too?
