Pets of the week
GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available
for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and
kittens. The Friends of the Shelter choose pets to feature each week,
this week they've selected:
Hank is a 2 year old Beagle. He is red and white with short hair. He is
a friendly little guy who loves to play. He will make a great companion
and friend. He is looking for a good home.
Sonny is a 6 year old Lab/Basset hound mix. He is tan and white with
short hair. He is a friendly little guy who is built short to the
ground. He loves people and wants to have fun. He has a lab personality
but short like a basset. He is waiting to be adopted.
Sweet Pea is a 2 year old Sheltie/Spitz mix. She is black and tan with
long hair. She is friendly once she gets to know you. She doesn’t think
much of young children and is a one person dog. She weighs around 25
pounds and is waiting to be adopted.
They also have a red tick coon dog, a Shepherd mix, a collie mix
and numerous other dogs as well as cats and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon
on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in
Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
