Electives, Business, and Information Technology
Englewood, Ohio - The Miami Valley Career Technology Center (MVCTC)
Electives, Business, and Information Technology (EBIT) Department under
the leadership of Supervisor, David Peltz, has started recognizing an
EBIT Student of the Month. This award will honor outstanding
accomplishments and leadership in Career Tech Education.
November EBIT Student of the Month
Kendall Benning, member of the Sports Marketing Management program
taught by Mr. Zach Gueth, and Kayla Smith, member of Medical Office
Management program taught by Mr. Rusty Sink, received a plaque to honor
their selection and a gift certificate from Wendy’s Restaurant.
Kendall Benning, Northmont High School, was recognized by her teacher
for showing great effort in both academics and leadership. She
has worked diligently in the classroom to maintain high marks, and she
has also taken charge in her lab activities by facilitating classroom
discussions. Mr. Gueth commented, “She has been a great leader
and model student.”
Kayla Smith, Dixie High School, was nominated for displaying a great
work ethic, excellent attendance, and always having a positive
attitude. Mr. Sink stated, “Kayla has all of the positive work
attributes and skills that an employer would be looking for. She
works hard and has a tremendous attitude.”
December EBIT Students of the Month
Jordan Puckett, member of the Computer Tech Academy program taught by
Mrs. Amy Sugden, and Dakota Schwegal, member of Medical Office
Management program taught by Mr. Rusty Sink, received a plaque to honor
their selection and a gift certificate from Wendy’s Restaurant.
Jordan Puckett, Eaton High School, was recognized by her instructor for
being a class officer and leader in her class. Jordan has worked
to maintain excellent scholarship during her first semester at MVCTC
and has only missed one day of school. Mrs. Sugden commented,
“She always sets a good example for others by maintaining a good grade
but also enjoying her lab time with her classmates.”
Dakota Schwegal, Meadowdale High School, was nominated for displaying a
great work ethic, excellent attendance, and always having a positive
attitude. Mr. Sink stated, “Dakota is a team player and is always
willing to help anyone who asks. Dakota is someone you would want
in your company.”
Congratulations to Kendall, Kayla, Jordan and Dakota for being
recognized as the Electives, Business, and Information Technology
Students of the Month at MVCTC. Special Thanks to Wendy’s
Restaurant on 7200 Hoke Road, Clayton, Ohio for their efforts in
sponsoring outstanding student accomplishments at Miami Valley Career
Technology Center.
For over 40-years, MVCTC has been providing career technical education
for 27 partner school districts encompassing five counties in Southwest
Ohio. MVCTC is dedicated to providing in-demand workforce
training for youth, adults, and organizations in the Miami
Valley.
