North Star Hardware supports Special Olympics

Darke County Special Olympics representative Steve Litchfield is shown receiving a check from Jeff Stammen of North Star Hardware and Implement. Darke County Special Olympics program provides athletic opportunities for students and adults with varying types of disabilities throughout Darke County in basketball, cheerleading, bowling, softball, Unified golf, swimming, and track & field. The program is operated by volunteers and funded totally by donations from our community. Donations are used to pay for uniforms, state entry fees, travel costs, meals, rental fees, softball field maintenance and other expenses through the year. The upcoming 37th annual Track and Field Event will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 9:45am-2:00pm at Harmon Field next to Greenville High School. The rain date is Monday, May 18th. The public is welcomed to come and cheer the athletes.
