Pets of the week
GREENVILLE - The Darke County Animal Shelter has many pets available
for adoption, including several breeds of dogs, as well as cats and
kittens. The Shelter chooses pets to feature each week, this week
they've selected:
Sammie is a 5 year old Terrier. He is mostly white and black with a
little brown. He has short hair. He is a sweet little guy who loves to
sit on your lap. He is current on his shots and is very friendly. He
will make nice housedog and family friend. He is ready for adoption.
Randy is a 10 month old blond Lab. He is tan with short hair. He is a
friendly guy who thinks he is a puppy. He is a people dog and loves to
be close to you. He is current on his shots and is very happy. He will
make nice family dog and will grow to around 60 pounds. He is ready for
adoption.
Skeeter is a 4 month old Dachshund mix. He is mostly black and tan with
a touch of white and has short hair. He is a friendly little guy who is
full of energy. He is current on his shots and loves to play. He will
be a small dog and only grow to around 10 pounds. He is looking for a
special family to grow up with. He is ready for adoption.
They also have black, blond and chocolate Labradors, a terrier, a
dachshund mix, Chihuahua, a collie mix, a shepherd mix and
numerous other dogs as well as cats and kittens for adoption.
The Shelter hours are 8am till 4:30pm Monday-Friday and 9:00 till noon
on Saturday. The Shelter is located at 5066 County Home Road in
Greenville, and the phone number is 547-1645.
With fall coming, winter is around the corner. It’s time to think about
getting your companion animals house in order and do any needed
repairs.
