VHCC celebrates
National Healthcare Volunteer Week
In celebration of National Healthcare Volunteer Week, Versailles Health
Care Center recognized and thanked volunteers for their hard work and
dedication at a recent luncheon held at the health care center.
Tokens of appreciation were given in the form of purple and white
pansies that were in flower pots painted by the residents and Mason
jars filled with mints and attached notes saying “Volunteers… thank you
for the Commit-mint”. Special recognition of volunteer service
years was made to the following volunteers: Adela Hoke, 24
years; Susan Fields, 23 years; Elsie Shappie, 11 years;
Connie Stammen, 7 years; Karen Doseck, 7 years; Diane Yakos, 7 years;
and Cate Custenborder, 3 years. Activities Director, Candy Stump,
thanked volunteers, “This year’s theme is ‘Volunteers giving time and
touching hearts’. We appreciate the impact you make each and
every day on our residents and patients. Thank you!”
Versailles Health Care Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation
center that offers short-term rehab services, outpatient therapy, and
